1. Why use a "waxed" chain rather than an oiled one? Wax forms a dry microfilm that does not attract sand or dust. This prevents the formation of an "abrasive paste" that prematurely wears your cassette. Your bike stays clean for longer and you gain a few watts of efficiency.

2. How do you maintain this chain once the factory wax has worn off? You should absolutely not re-apply oil. After approximately 300–500 km (or a ride in the rain), clean the chain with a dry cloth and apply a fresh coat of liquid wax (such as KMC GO WAX).

3. Is the "Celeste" coating purely aesthetic? The black colour is the DLC (ultra-hard) treatment. The colour accents (Celeste) are an additional coating that also protects against corrosion, but it is indeed the black DLC that delivers the friction performance.

4. Is it compatible with 12-speed drivetrains? No. This chain is strictly reserved for 11-speed systems (Shimano, SRAM, Campagnolo). For 12-speed, there is the DLC 12 version.
