FINISH LINE HALO™ Wax Lubricant is a new-generation wax-based lubricant, designed to offer the benefits of waxed chain without the constraints of hot immersion. Its liquid formula penetrates deep into the links before drying to form a solid, ultra-smooth coating that's totally dry to the touch.
Enriched with cutting-edge additives, this lubricant dramatically reduces friction, giving you greater efficiency with every pedal stroke. Unlike traditional oils, HALO™ Wax won't blacken or attract contaminants, keeping your transmission quiet and spotlessly clean, even after several rides.
Is it necessary to degrease the chain before first use? Yes, you must. For the wax to adhere to the metal, the chain must be completely free of factory oil or grease. Use a strong degreaser before the very first application.
Can it be used in wet weather? HALO™ Wax resists moisture well, but like all waxes, it will fade faster than a "Wet" oil in driving rain. It's advisable to dry well and reapply the product after a very wet outing.
How often should I reapply? In dry conditions, one application can last between 200 and 300 km. As soon as the chain starts to become slightly noisier, it's time to reapply.
Is it compatible with the "Hot Wax" (immersion) version? Absolutely. HALO™ Wax liquid is the ideal complement to maintain and prolong the treatment of an initially hot-waxed chain.
