The HOPE TECH 4 EVO GR4 brake embodies the pinnacle of British technology and craftsmanship. Entirely machined from a block of 2014 T6 aluminium, it combines precision, power and reliability to meet the demands of the most extreme disciplines, particularly downhill and e-bike.
The TECH 4 EVO master cylinder benefits from significant improvements: a new piston, floating head, optimised cam, second guide ring and three new levers. These developments deliver smooth and customisable control of braking power. The lever pivot rests on two annular bearings, ensuring a smooth and consistent action, while the adjustment dials allow fine-tuning of the reach and bite point to suit the rider's preferences.
The GR4 calliper, Post-Mount standard (74.2 mm), is machined as a single piece for increased rigidity and controlled weight. Its four hybrid pistons — two 17 mm and two 18 mm — guarantee maximum power and optimal thermal management. This model delivers 6% more power than the Tech 4 V4, while maintaining exemplary progressiveness. Ideal for gravity riding and electric bikes, it remains incompatible with vented discs.
Supplied with three types of brake pads (Racing, All Conditions, and E-Bike), the HOPE TECH 4 EVO GR4 adapts to all riding styles. With its 2 m brake hose, 14 colour combinations and highly refined design, it stands as the absolute benchmark in high-end braking for the most demanding riders.
