The Kärcher OC 7-18 shakes up the rules of portable cleaning with its ultra-ergonomic "gun" format. Unlike rigid-tank models placed on the ground, the OC 7-18 integrates its pump and motor directly into the spray handle. It is supplied here in its complete pack including a Kärcher 18 V interchangeable battery and its charger.

This model stands out for its versatility when it comes to water supply: it comes with a collapsible soft bucket-shaped reservoir, but it can also draw water from any source (bucket, bottle, stream) thanks to its suction hose fitted with a filter. What is the main difference between the OC Compact Plus and this OC 7-18? The OC Compact Plus is a compact rigid box with an integrated fixed 8-litre tank that is placed on the ground. The OC 7-18 is held entirely in the hand like a large spray gun. It offers greater freedom of movement as you simply connect its flexible hose to any bucket or the supplied collapsible reservoir to start cleaning.

Is it tiring to hold during cleaning? No, Kärcher has paid particular attention to weight distribution. Weighing just 1.3 kg (excluding battery), the unit remains very well balanced. The battery sits at the back of the handle, acting as a natural counterweight to the nozzle body to reduce wrist fatigue.

How should the unit be stored after use? Disconnect the water suction hose and pull the trigger for 2 to 3 seconds to purge any water remaining inside the gun. Remove the 18 V battery and store it in a temperate location. As with any water-based appliance, make sure to keep the gun protected from frost during winter.
