Fully CNC machined from a block of 6061-T6 aluminium, this Top Load stem offers an enlarged contact area that eliminates any twisting during explosive starts and corner exits. It is the ultimate choice for Pro riders and larger builds who demand an ultra-stiff front end without adding weight to their bike.
What is the difference between the Cayman V2 HD and the FTL HD? Both stems share the same ultra-stiff 31.8 mm standard. The difference is purely aesthetic: the FTL HD adopts a very angular and massive look, whereas the Cayman V2 HD favours fluid curves, softened edges and a more streamlined silhouette.
Can I fit a standard 22.2 mm handlebar with adapters? It is mechanically possible with shims, but strongly discouraged in BMX Race. To fully benefit from the stiffness advantages of this HD stem, it is essential to pair it with a native 31.8 mm handlebar.
Is this model suitable for lighter riders? Although it is optimised for stiffness, its CNC machining makes it very light. It can therefore suit a younger or lighter rider (Expert XL/Cruiser category) who wants to stiffen and stabilise their front end.
