Description

The SHIMANO RT-MT900 disc is the most efficient disc ever produced by the Japanese brand for managing heat, thanks to clever ventilation fins distributed all along the disc.

Initially compatible only with the XTR 9100 groupset, for Cross-Country or Enduro use, the triple-layer construction (stainless steel/aluminium/stainless steel) and the cooling system developed by SHIMANO reduce the temperature by approximately 20°C compared to older generation discs, while providing more powerful braking and extending the lifespan of the brake pads.

"Excellent finish, doesn't overheat, lightweight, and easy to install in Centerlock mode. However, the spacers provided aren’t compatible with my XTR cassette; I had to keep the original spacer from my Scott, which was previously equipped with XT 8000 discs. Given the price, both types of spacers could have been included. Best regards"

You don't really notice a difference when braking from a cold start, but during an enduro race, the disc doesn't get very hot, which helps maintain very effective braking performance! The weight-to-strength ratio is great too. The discs match the description perfectly and meet my expectations very well (strength, durability, aesthetics). Excellent product!"
