Description
The VAR bottom bracket tool allows fitting and removal of Shimano and ISIS Drive bottom brackets (FSA, Race Face, Suntour, Stronglight JP MX, JP MX dh and Twister), as well as Shimano square taper, Stronglight JP 400, Suntour, TA Axix light and Truvativ bottom brackets.
Robust thanks to its cold-forged and heat-treated chrome-vanadium steel construction, this tool features a threaded axle and a spring to hold the tool against the cup.

"I bought this tool in total despair after spending hours disassembling the plate side (clockwise loosening) of an isis case dating back at least to the Middle Ages ... completely seized up ... ... I tried gasket clamps, etc. ... ... so I gave it my best shot with this tool. ... . . the delivery was ultra fast as it always is . . in the meantime I dislocated my shoulder so it was difficult to force it loose. I put the tool in place and combined it with a super B wrench that I already had, which holds the tool by a screw system . . and then by pressing down with my foot, magic!!!! Like butter! Frankly, a great tool that I recommend at 200%".

"I broke the tool I'd been using until now trying to loosen the right-hand cup of a BSA crankset (clockwise unscrewing). With the one I ordered from Probikeshop (VAR tool) with a screw to lock it against the cup (just screw into the bottom bracket axle in place of the crank fixing nut), all it took was a couple of hammer blows (well pressed) for the cup to give way (with some resistance)."
