Description
The TWIST Battery Base is specifically designed for electric bikes with bottle-holder inserts located directly on the battery cover or in places where the screws are particularly short.
Thanks to its ultra-flat design and specific screws, it allows you to install the Fidlock ecosystem (water bottles, panniers) without risking damage to the battery cells just below. It's the essential accessory for transforming your VTTAE into a streamlined machine, free from cumbersome classic bottle cages.
Why use this base rather than the standard "Bike Base"? The Battery Base is designed for situations where space behind the screw insert is very limited. It uses shorter screws and a flatter interface to ensure that no metal parts pierce or scratch your battery shell.
Can motor vibrations detach the canister? No. The Fidlock system is designed for committed mountain biking. The mechanical lock is extremely robust and resists the constant vibrations of electric motors, as well as shocks on rough terrain.
Can it be installed on a conventional (non-electric) bike? Yes, it's perfectly possible. It works exactly like a standard chainstay, but with an even more discreet profile.
Won't the canister interfere with access for battery charging? That depends on the location of your charging point. The advantage of the Fidlock system is that you can remove the can in a quarter of a second to free up access to your charging connector.
