Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon MTB tyre 29x2.4" WT Exo SkinWall Tubeless Ready with folding bead is, like it, designed for competition Cross-Country, but it is designed for highly technical terrain requiring more grip and efficiency. Taller, its knobs are also larger and less numerous than those of the Ikon.
Featuring a robust 60 tpi casing, this version uses the Dual compound, which promotes efficiency. Two types of rubber are combined: a hard underlayer and a softer surface compound, for precise and controlled handling.
In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be mounted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing additional protection against abrasion and punctures.
