Inspired by the Ikon, the MAXXIS Rekon tyre 29x2.40 WT Exo Dual Tubeless Ready folding bead is, like it, designed for competition Cross-Country, but it is designed for highly technical terrain requiring more grip and control. Taller, its knobs are also larger and fewer than those of the Ikon.
In this Tubeless Ready version, which can be fitted with or without an inner tube, this tyre also features Exo reinforcement on the sidewalls, providing additional protection against abrasion and cuts. Furthermore, it should be noted that the casing has been optimised for fitting on a rim with an internal width of 35 mm.

Quality in decline at Maxxis!
"3000 km with my old Maxxis Rekon tire, I recommend the same one. Big disappointment, the tire cracked after 2 uses, not even 100 km. Maxxis quality has really been lost, yet their price hasn't changed. I'm really disappointed, and I'll certainly be going back to higher-quality brands. 😤"

"Good tire with good traction and grip in rear mounting, model in WT in 2. 40 for wide rim, mine is 30 mm between hooks and the tire is measured at 57 mm when it is given for 61 mm!! size small so, the weight is consistent with 820 g."
